Whitelisting Explained

How whitelisting works — MotoRadds

How whitelisting actually works.

A quick walkthrough of the three ways we can run this, what people actually see, and why the same video might appear in your notifications 20 times in a week. (All of that is normal. Here's why.)

1 Pick how you want to make the content

Three ways this usually works. Pick whichever fits your style — we're good with any of them.

Option A You post it normally, we boost it

You post the content on your profile like any other post. We then run ads using that exact post. Your followers see it organically; people outside your audience see it as a sponsored post.

Best for: creators who'd post this kind of content anyway. You keep all the organic reach and engagement on top of the paid reach we drive.

Option B You send us the content, we run it as an ad only

You make content specifically for the ads and send us the file. It never goes on your profile. It runs as an ad from your handle, but only people in our ad audience see it — your followers and your feed stay untouched.

Best for: creators who want to keep their feed tightly curated or don't want sponsored posts showing up organically. On Facebook and Instagram this is called a Partnership Ad on unpublished content.

Option C You make two versions

An organic version you post to your profile (softer, more on-brand for your audience) and a separate ad version we run through whitelisting. Different edits, same product.

Best for: creators with a very specific feed aesthetic who still want the organic boost. A bit more work on your end, but worth it if keeping your feed on-brand matters.

2 What happens after that

You Deliver the content Either by posting it (Option A) or sending us the file via Google Drive or WeTransfer (Option B or C). Don't send the file through Instagram or Facebook DMs — they compress it and we lose quality.
You grant access One-time permission Via Meta Business Suite (covers both Facebook and Instagram). Takes 30 seconds. Revocable anytime.

3 What people actually see

Two ways your content can appear when we run paid ads behind it. Both perform way better than a standard brand ad because it reads as a real rider, not a company.

4 What's not happening

We do NOT

Post to your feed. Message your followers. Access your DMs. See your analytics beyond the ad itself. Touch anything you didn't explicitly give us access to.

We only

Run paid ads using a piece of content you've approved, from your handle. That's the entire scope. You can revoke access anytime from your settings.

5 Two things that look weird but are normal

So you're not confused when these happen
  • You'll see ads "posted" from your handle you don't remember posting. These are whitelisted ads running in the ad system — they don't appear on your actual profile or feed. Only people in our ad audience see them. Your real followers see nothing unless we specifically target them.
  • You may get notifications that the same video "posted" 10, 20, 30+ times. Those are just us testing different captions or audiences to try and dial in the most effective iteration. It's still one piece of your content — we're just adjusting the packaging around it. None of these are live posts on your profile.

6 What you get out of it

A second audience built on our ad budget — people who discover you through the ad often follow your handle afterward, regardless of which option you pick.
Paid compensation once we move past the trial period, if the ad performs.
Full control. Revoke access anytime from your Meta Business Suite settings. No lock-in, no long contracts.
If you picked Option A, your post keeps all its organic reach on your profile on top of the paid reach. If you picked Option B, your feed stays exactly as you want it — nothing goes public.
